The PPMonitor system has been designed to give a visual representation of indoor air quality as part of buildings management standards in
relation to conditions such as ‘Sick Building Syndrome’. Since a large number of units can be linked using ZigBee wireless mesh networking the system can show precise changes in concentration of selected IAQ parameters in various locations overtime.
The PPMonitor Wireless system enables the user to control several wireless IAQ sampling units all communicating via ZigBee networking. The network is cost effective, easy to install and simple to use: the nodes making up the mesh configure the optimal signal route automatically.
Other advantages of a ZigBee mesh system is its self healing properties which means the network can operate even when a node or connection fails. As a result, a very reliable network is formed. The size of the wireless mesh can be easily extended by simply adding new PPMonitor Wireless units as each one is also a router. Each PPMonitor Wireless unit can monitor 3 to 8 different IAQ parameters. The Manager PC connects to the mesh network via a special node capable of recieving and transmitting

information to the PPMonitor unit. The Manager PC can view, run and control realtime monitoring & data logging of air quality in a bulilding at theclick of a button. ThePPMonitor software enables data to be viewed graphically, produce reports and statistical data, as well as alarm functions and notificationsenabling more effective building management.

The ETRX-2 module
