Telegesis Products

Rtone makes extensive use of the Telegesis ETRX2 module in its products. This low power, 2.4GHz ISM band transceiver is based on the Ember EM250 single chip ZigBee / IEEE 802.15.4 solution. The module's unique AT-style command line interface allows a user to quickly integrate ZigBee wireless technology into a design without complex software engineering making it ideal for organisations which need to add ZigBee functionality quickly and easily.

 Rtone's ZigBee based Rbee® Meter system can be installed on any type of energy meter to automate reading and allow communication with other devices in a mesh network.

A wireless access point can be used to address all energy meters on the network and record detailed consumption patterns with alert management in case predefined thresholds are exceeded.

Management of energy meters is Internet based and Rtone can implement solutions adapted to individual customers, from the communication module through to a customised Web interface.

As all communication is wireless, the Rbee® Meter can easily be integrated into an existing installations. Combined with a GPRS link, the Rbee® Meter system can remotely read energy meters in distant locations where Internet access is not immediately available.
