Wireless sensing with ZigBee

JLM Innovations of Tübingen Germany has introduced a new range of ZigBee Wireless sensor devices using the Telegesis ETRX2 module.

The system, named ‘ZigSens' is a wireless sensor platform based around ZigBee mesh networking. Each wireless node is equipped with gas and temperature sensors and in addition, the ZigSens system supports electrochemical and metal oxide sensors making it suitable for detection of a variety of different gases.
ZigSens sensor nodes are integrated into JLM's ‘Multisens' platform; an integrated software platform for data acquisition and analysis which can be tailored to the customer's needs and requirements. A number of different gas sensor arrays and may directly be controlled via MultiSens delivering an automated quality control solution. By using a USB or RS232 connected to a PC the measurement data from a ZigBee network can be directly recorded and evaluated
